The FAMAS (Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de St-Etienne) is the French Army's assault rifle, developed in the late 1960s but put into service 10 years later. Known as the "Clairon", this weapon was intended to replace the aging MAS 49/56. It uses 5.56 NATO cartridges, but is distinguished by its bullpup mechanism, its 3 firing modes (semi/burst/full) and its carrying handle integrating the sights. Completely ambidextrous, it has been exported in small numbers to Senegal or the United Arab Emirates. Argentina or Indonesia use it in their Navy thanks to its compactness. This replica has a beautiful nylon fiber body and an original mosfet. The latter will increase the life of the electrical contactor but also take advantage of the 3 ball burst position on the replica's firing selector, like the real gun. By removing the butt plate, it is possible to have access to the spring guide which can be adjusted with a hex key, allowing to play on the power of the replica (offering a variable power range of about 40 FPS).
