This pant is a reproduction. It is the model says "reinforced" M-42, because, unlike the "standard" model M-42, it is equipped with canvas solid under the cargo pockets and knee height, which makes the pants less vulnerable in combat conditions. After loading, the straps of canvas are placed in the side pockets of the cargo. It is a model focused primarily by paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd airborne divisions in Normandy and was seen by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks in the series Brothers-in-arms.
