The FFI: a little history
The Forces françaises de l'intérieur (FFI) was a resistance movement created during the Second World War in France. It was formed by the merger of the main groups of the French internal resistance in February 1944, comprising the Secret Army, the Army Resistance Organisation and the French Francs-Tireurs et Partisans. The FFI played a major role in the liberation of France, carrying out guerrilla actions against the German occupation forces and assisting the Allied forces in their advance into France. After the war, the FFI were integrated into the French army.
