The "Marche ou crève" Foreign Legion

The Foreign Legion is a French military institution made up mainly of foreign soldiers. It is known for its slogan "marche ou crève" ("march or die"), which sums up the state of mind of these men who have chosen to serve under France's colours, often in extreme conditions.
