The Marine Corps of the US Army, a little history

The Marines, also known as the Marine Corps, are a branch of the US military specialising in amphibious and land combat operations. Their training is one of the most difficult of any branch of the US military, requiring a high level of physical fitness, endurance and discipline. Marines are often the first to be deployed to combat zones, where they are known for their courage and determination. They have participated in many military operations around the world, from World War II to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their motto is "Semper Fidelis" (Always Faithful), which reflects their commitment to their country and their comradeship with their brothers in arms.
